Dr. Charles Cai is a Lean solutions expert for helping organizations deliver break-through results. He earned his chemical engineering degree in China and his Ph.D. degree in USA, specializing in batteries and their applications in electric vehicles. Dr. Cai currently resides in Augusta, GA and has worked internationally in a variety of roles including academic research at Stanford University in fuel cells, new product development in China and US, quality management at Delco Remy and executive management in a China 500 company.
He is best known as one of the most successful Lean solutions practitioners in China and is closely aligned with Dr. Jeffrey Liker, University of Michigan professor and author of “The Toyota Way”. Dr. Cai has helped many companies worldwide in Lean implementation, including Caterpillar and Shanghai Motors. Dr. Cai is a certified ISO-9000 auditor. He has given lectures to professional societies and universities including Peking University, and been a speaker in various forums including the Global Lean Summit.
